Facts
Despite showing signs of several pregnancies, Garoa was never able to give birth successfully. In October 2016, the team found her lifeless body, which displayed many signs of probable, numerous fights with other jaguars. She bore scratches all over her carcass and very deep bite marks on her trachea – a blow that possibly resulted in her premature death.
