We operate at Caiman, a farm of over 53 thousand hectares in South Pantanal, near Miranda, Mato Grosso do Sul.

Pantanal, the main base of Onçafari, is where we began our work – focused on jaguars – in 2011. We work with all eight sectors in this biome: science, ecotourism, reintroduction, education, social, forest-related issues, fire protection and advocacy.

* Tours with Onçafari are charged separately. When making the reservation confirm availability.

São Francisco do Perigara Reserve

We are present in the São Francisco do Perigara Reserve, a protected area of 25,000 hectares that is part of the Legal Amazon and is located in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso. It is an important conservation area for blue macaws, as it is home to around 15% of the world’s population of the species. At the moment, the Onçafari team does not develop ecotourism and visitation activities at this base.

Santa Sofia Reserve

We are present in the Santa Sofia Reserve, located north of Caiman Pantanal, Mato Grosso do Sul. In the Santa Sofia Reserve, Onçafari develops the Reintroduction front, with enclosures for the rehabilitation and reintroduction of wild animals, such as pumas, jaguars , primates and birds. Mutum Reserve

The Mutum Reserve is a 6,000-hectare area located in Corumbá, in the Mato Grosso do Sul Pantanal. It is part of the Alagados do Taquari region. This region resulted from the change in the direction of the Taquari River caused by sedimentation. In addition to the wide variety of fish, the area also shelters endangered species such as the jaguar, hyacinth macaw, and marsh deer.
