Our animal of focus is the maned wolf. Here we work within the sectors of eco-tourism, science and education.
In the Cerrado we operate at Pousada Trijunção, a farm of more than 33 thousand hectares in area in the heart of the biome, located on the border of the states of Minas Gerais, Bahia and Goias.

Grande Sertão Veredas National Park
Created in 1989 on the Minas Gerais side and later expanded to the Bahia side in 2004, the Grande Sertão Veredas National Park is entirely located in the Cerrado biome. It was named in honor of one of the most important Brazilian literary works, the novel “Grande Sertão: Veredas” by the writer from Minas Gerais João Guimarães Rosa, whose work portrays the regional reality where the Park is located, full of passages that describe the places, the relationship of man with nature, and cultural characteristics still present today. It has many viewpoints, plateaus, and, of course, numerous “veredas” (paths), easily located by the lines of buriti palms. In the region of the Park, Onçafari found possibly the highest proportion of jaguars with melanism (black jaguars) ever recorded in the world.
