OnçaPartners is an exclusive Onçafari event for partners, supporters, and company representatives to review the previous year’s achievements, present results, and share the organization’s next steps.
The fourth edition brought together around 100 guests and featured opening remarks by Thiago Fernandes, ESG Director LatAm representing Bank of America; Mario Haberfeld, CEO and founder of Onçafari, who presented the organization’s results; and Renê Medrado, from Pinheiro Neto Advogados, who introduced the partnership.
Held at the Bank of America rooftop, the event provided a space for networking and interaction among guests. The bank hosted the evening with a special cocktail reception and also set aside an area for the Onçafari store, which showcased exclusive items. In addition, NB Steak and Titina Leão contributed as event supporters, enriching the evening’s experience.
Since 2023, Onçafari has been refining its institutional strategy as part of an ongoing process to strengthen management, resource allocation, and the measurement of impacts generated within the conservation agenda. Throughout 2024, this work became even more consistent with the definition of objectives and goals that will guide the organization through 2028, ensuring that every initiative remains aligned with Onçafari’s mission, vision, and values.
Among the pillars guiding this work is the understanding that jaguar conservation also supports the protection of entire ecosystems. As an apex predator, the species is an indicator of environmental health and crucial to the balance of biodiversity and natural resources, reinforcing our message that “where there are jaguars, life is in balance.”
It was from this integrated vision — connecting strategic planning, conservation, and impact — that Onçafari presented to guests the organization’s main achievements and advances.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Jaguar Rivers Initiative (JRI), which connects organizations across South America to establish ecological corridors along the Paraná River basin. The proposal expands the scale of action by bringing together Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, and partner institutions around habitat connectivity. The initiative was highlighted as one of the organization’s main growth drivers for the coming years, alongside the acquisition of new land to expand protected areas.

The achievements, field activities, infrastructure maintenance, and expansion of Onçafari’s work into new areas are made possible thanks to a network of partners committed to the cause. This operational model sustains the results presented during the event.
During the gathering, the 2025 Annual Report was launched, organizing data from the 20 operational bases across nine Brazilian states, structured by biome and by Onçafari reserve. The publication allows readers to track how each territory has advanced biodiversity conservation efforts through the organization’s areas of work: Science, Rewild, Ecotourism, Education, Social, Forests, Fire Prevention, and Advocacy.
The report reinforces Onçafari’s commitment to transparency and is publicly accessible, consolidating the main data and results from the period.
