We monitor populations of jaguars through trap cameras, and have established an enclosure-school reintroduction for wild animals, from where we have already rehabilitated and freed two jaguars. The region in which we operate is located in southern Para state.
We work with the sectors of science and reintroduction in the Amazon.

Onçafari Reserve 1
In the Amazon, we are present in Onçafari Reserve 1, a 400 hectare area located in Jacareacanga, Pará. The acquisition of the area took place in 2019, with the goal of protecting the banks of the São Benedito River and creating ecological corridors that are essential for wildlife and flora. Currently, the Reserve does not engage in ecotourism or visitation activities.

Anavilhanas
We are also present in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest, at the Anavilhanas Hotel, located near the Anavilhanas National Park, 180 km from Manaus, on the banks of the Rio Negro. Onçafari conducts wildlife monitoring in the forest using camera traps. Currently, the Onçafari team does not engage in ecotourism or visitation activities at this base.
